Hydraulically operated control valve to manage reservoir filling and maintain reservoir level. During filling the valve limits flow to a preset maximum regardless of upstream pressure fluctuations or reservoir level, and its design reduces risk of cavitation. Reservoir filling is actuated by a hydraulically controlled, non‑modulating bi‑level vertical float that opens at a preset low level and shuts drip‑tight at a preset high level.
