Overview
Next-generation 12 V Yuasa YBX®9000 lead‑acid batteries are engineered for vehicles equipped with emissions‑reduction systems such as Start‑Stop and regenerative braking, delivering fuel savings and lower emissions. They are also used as the 12 V battery in certain electric and hybrid vehicles.

These AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries feature microporous glass‑mat separators and advanced materials to provide superior cycle performance, high charge acceptance for rapid recharge while the engine is running, and additional power capacity to operate onboard electrical systems when the engine is off.

Installation & usage notes
If an AGM battery is fitted to a vehicle as standard, it must always be replaced with an AGM battery of equivalent performance and specifications. AGM batteries can be fitted as an upgrade option on many vehicles originally equipped with conventional or EFB batteries. Use appropriate tools and databases to identify the compatible replacement battery for the vehicle.
