SBC-A44-pITX Heat Sink (ACTIVE) designed as an active heat spreader for SBC-A44-pITX modules; supplied as a 3-pack (SA44-DISS-3-PK).

Details
Highly integrated modules and boards deliver high performance in compact dimensions. Miniaturization of ICs and higher processor frequencies increase heat generation that must be managed to keep the CPU within its permitted temperature range. The operating temperature indicated in the module/board technical features defines the range in which all parts of the heat spreader/heat sink must remain for SECO to guarantee functionality. These values do not necessarily indicate suitable ambient temperature. The heat spreader is not intended as a guaranteed standalone cooling system; it should be used only as a supplemental means of transferring heat to other dissipation systems (heat sinks, fans, heat pipes, etc.). The customer is responsible for designing and implementing an application-specific cooling system capable of maintaining the heat spreader/heat sink temperature within the module’s specified range. After evaluating processor workload, system enclosure and airflow/thermal analysis in the target application, customers must develop and validate an appropriate cooling solution for the assembled system.
