The wind turbines have active control, variable blade pitch angle and variable rotor speed with a synchronous generator of permanent magnets and direct coupling to the rotor, without the need of a speed multiplier. All the functions of the wind turbines are monitored and controlled by a control unit based on microprocessors installed on the command and control panel of the turbine.
