Overview
Utilizing infrared optical tracking technology (Generation II), the Z50 Series contact-less optical trackball provides accurate X and Y cursor control and a surrounding Z-axis control wheel for scroll/zoom functions. The solid-state optical tracking engine delivers precise motion at all speeds with virtually any ball, reducing moving parts to the ball only. The design includes a removable top ring for cleaning, decontamination, sterilisation and maintenance. Units are intended for back-of-panel mounting in OEM keyboards and consoles and are configurable for outputs, tracking force and sealing to suit demanding environments.
