Description
A urethane surface is permanently bonded to a 300 series stainless steel pad. The non-marking, non-staining urethane provides protection for delicate work surfaces and resists abrasion and wear.
The 'bubbled' texture of the urethane top offers firm holding and allows air to escape so no suction is created between the contact surface and the top of the rest pad when compressed.
Urethane tops are available in three Shore A durometers to meet different application requirements. Blind-hole tap is provided for backside mounting. Load compression values are based on the weight required to compress the urethane surface 0.032 in for a 0.08 in thick pad and 0.042 in for a 0.12 in thick pad; values vary with temperature and other environmental factors.

SELECTING A DUROMETER

• 35 Durometer: for very light-duty applications. Hardness similar to a soft pencil eraser; may tear under shear.
• 60 Durometer: for medium-duty applications. Hardness comparable to an automobile tire; good balance of grip and durability.
• 80 Durometer: for heavy-duty applications. Hardness similar to the heel of a dress shoe; high resistance to tearing and abrasion.
