Description

Overview
Portable multifunction temperature calibration furnace by SIKA, combining dry-well, blackbody (infrared) and surface temperature calibration functions. Designed for on-site use (workshops, test rooms) and laboratories, covering an operating range up to 450°C.

Ranges and display accuracy
Dry-well: Ambient … 450°C / ± 0.2°C
Infrared: Ambient … 450°C / ± 0.5°C
Surface: Ambient … 450°C / ± 1°C
Calibration volume: Ø 60 x 150 mm

Applications
  • Commissioning and start-up
  • Manufacturing and production
  • Maintenance and service
  • Quality assurance and test equipment monitoring
  • Repair

Function: dry-well
Optimal thermal coupling between the block and the device under test is achieved using the correct insert. It is recommended that the bore diameter be 0.5 mm larger than the external diameter of the device under test. The dry-well covers its full temperature range without changing the calibration medium and avoids the constraints related to medium viscosity.

Function: blackbody (infrared)
A patented infrared calibration insert enables calibration of IR pyrometers and thermal cameras. The surface structure and geometries create a radiative cavity with a very high effective emissivity (≈ 0.9994), minimizing stray reflections and delivering the required temperature optimally. The pyrometer must be held at the specified distance above the measurement aperture; a support base can be mounted on the unit.

Function: surface temperature calibration
Surface temperature sensors are calibrated using special inserts mounted vertically with the required contact force. Switching the calibration control to an external reference sensor provides the best possible reference point. The reference sensor is located directly beneath the measurement surface of the insert, designed for optimal homogeneity at the center of the measurement face. The design allows good thermal contact without the need for thermal paste or other auxiliaries.
