Overview
Control of Shimadzu Nexera and i-Series LC systems from Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS) 7 is enabled via a collaboration between Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and Shimadzu using the Chromeleon Driver Development Kit for multi‑vendor hardware control. The driver integrates instrument control and digital data transfer to Chromeleon™ 7.

Key features

• Seamless instrument control — Shimadzu LC parameters are configured in the Chromeleon Instrument Method Editor and stored as standard Chromeleon Instrument methods for direct control from Chromeleon.
• Digital data acquisition — Detector signals are transmitted digitally to the CDS, removing the need for an external A/D converter and simplifying validation.
• Regulatory compliance support — Full system control and integrated data processing use Chromeleon audit trail functions to support GLP/GMP and US FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
