Model 1683 from the Metric 42R-E series is a parallel shaft AC gearmotor designed for metric mounting and metric drive shaft dimensions. The unit features an unvented gearhousing, industrial lip-type seals on motor and output shafts, needle bearings throughout and permanently lubricated semi-fluid grease gearing with selectively hardened helical gears for quiet operation and high output-to-size ratio.
