Product overviewLumenFlow surface-mount optics deliver high optical efficiency in a compact, low-profile package that integrates into photonic assemblies. Molded with tight tolerances to ensure repeatable performance across production batches. Designed for automated placement and soldering on PCBs alongside SMT components, these optics support high-volume manufacturing and reduce assembly costs and cycle times.
Key features- Five lens shape options to customise illumination profiles
- Over 90% optical efficiency from UV-A through visible to near IR
- Solder pads for high-precision placement compatible with SMT processes
Materials & environmental resistanceThe optics are made from optical-grade silicone that does not melt or reflow and withstands operating temperatures up to 200°C. Silicone construction is water resistant and submersible, UV resistant, and resists impact and environmental wear, providing long-term stability in demanding applications.
Optical performance & optionsAvailable in a broad range of focal lengths and form factors. Suitable for machine-vision, sensing, and illumination applications from UV-A to 1.6 µm. A wide range of beam and field angles is offered; angles correspond to 50% and 10% of light intensity (FWHM and FWTM) to define illumination patterns.
Manufacturing & assemblyDesigned for automated placement and soldering with SMT components; supports high-volume manufacturing workflows and reduces assembly costs and cycle times. Molded with tight tolerances to ensure repeatable production performance.
