Product OverviewWide-angle waveplates (retarders) are designed to accept a large range of input angles with minimal retardance shift up to 30° angle of incidence (AOI). They are available for visible and NIR design wavelengths (532 nm, 633 nm, 1064 nm, 1550 nm) and in λ/2 or λ/4 retardance values. Construction uses near zero-order laminated birefringent polymer mounted on an N-BK7 substrate and finished with broadband anti-reflection (BBAR) coatings.
Key Features- Retardance tolerances as tight as ≤λ/250 out to 30° AOI
- Near zero-order laminated birefringent polymer construction
- Optimized for applications requiring wide acceptance angles
DescriptionThese waveplates deliver ≤λ/250 quarter-wave and ≤λ/100 half-wave retardance accuracy at the center wavelength, minimizing sensitivity to angle of incidence. The components are laminated with birefringent polymer on an N-BK7 substrate and receive BBAR coatings to reduce reflections across the design band.
NoteThe fast axis is marked with a line for alignment.
