Description

Overview
The Perkins 403 range of electric power (EP) engines delivers the same compact benefits of its 2 cylinder stablemate, but takes a stride forward in terms of noise, refinement and power. The 3 cylinder range offers excellent power density and superb fuel economy and is designed to meet power generation needs in both unregulated territories where extreme conditions are likely, and higher regulated territories with more stringent emissions standards.

Features At A Glance
  • Compact and flexible — When you need power and reliability in a compact application, the 400 Series EP engines deliver. Engine components are designed to minimise space, aiding installations where aftertreatment solutions are required. Some models offer the convenience of switching between engine speeds and electrical frequencies to match application and territory.
  • Efficient, quiet and powerful — The 3 cylinder 403 provides strong power density, durability, fuel efficiency and quiet operation compared to similar sized competitors, making it suitable where noise is a concern (for example urban areas).
  • Lower operating costs — Reliability, an uncomplicated indirect injection fuel system, ease of installation and warranty combine to keep ownership costs low. The 400 Series is built on a common engine platform, enabling affordable upgrades.
