The Lucid family of signal generators is a small footprint modular microwave signal generator that is available in multiple form factors, including Desktop, benchtop, rackmount, and portable. It has been designed to provide signal fidelity, with a frequency range up to 12GHz. Fast Frequency Switching In modern RF environments, minimizing test cycle latency is critical—whether you are characterizing a device on the design bench or running high-volume automated test equipment (ATE) on the production floor. The Tabor Lucid Series directly addresses this bottleneck with a frequency switching speed of <100µs. By drastically reducing the settling time between frequency hops, the Lucid Series minimizes 'dead time,' allowing for significantly faster sweep rates and setting a new industry benchmark for maximum measurement throughput. Signal Integrity and Purity In modern test environments, signal purity is paramount. The Tabor Lucid Series addresses this critical requirement by delivering exceptional signal integrity, characterized by a typical SSB phase noise of -138dBc/Hz at 1GHz (10 kHz offset). This low noise floor ensures that the Lucid Series provides some of the cleanest signals available, satisfying the rigorous demands of high-precision applications where signal clarity cannot be compromised. Modulation Schemes The Lucid family supports a comprehensive suite of internal modulated signals—including AM, FM and PM, starting at 100MHz to the maximum range of the instrument. It can also modulate external baseband signals. Pulse modulation can be applied internally and externally with an on/off ratio of 60dBc.
