The Lucid-X LSX8081R is an 8 GHz single-channel microwave signal generator in a 19" 1U rack form factor. Part of the Lucid-X family, it delivers low phase-noise performance and high spectral purity for demanding RF and microwave test applications including local oscillators, radar, electronic warfare and ADC/DAC clocking.

• Signal integrity and purity: Exceptional phase-noise performance across the band. Representative phase-noise at 10 kHz offset: -148 dBc/Hz @100 MHz, -133 dBc/Hz @1 GHz, -114 dBc/Hz @10 GHz. Harmonics typically -50 dBc; non-harmonics typically -90 dBc.
• Analog and pulse modulation: Built-in AM, FM, PM and Sweep. FM supports deviations up to 10 MHz and rates up to 1 MHz. AM linear depth up to 90% at rates to 100 kHz. PM peak deviation to 360°. Pulse modulation offers high on/off ratio (~70 dB) and rise/fall times < 15 ns, suitable for radar and EW.
• Fast frequency switching: 10 µs switching capability (ultra-fast option available) for frequency hopping simulation and high-throughput automated testing.
• Control and programming: SCPI/VISA compatible; remote control via LAN/USB and virtual front panel. Supported environments: Python, MATLAB, C#/C++, NI LabVIEW.
