The MC2010 Multi Axis Motion Controller is a computer interface controller designed to position linear and rotary stages via LabVIEW-based software installed on a customer-supplied PC or laptop with a USB port. This controller is compatible with Siskiyou's closed loop motorized linear stages (800, 100cri, 200cri, 7600, and 7700 series stages), linear actuators (841 and 842), and motorized rotational stages (RSA-0.5i, RSA-1.0i, and RSA-2.0i).
Configuration and SoftwareThe base model of the MC2010 is a 4-axis configuration, but it is available in configurations up to 10 axes, all housed in an industry-standard 19-inch rack-mounted cabinet. A USB cable is included for connectivity. The supplied LabVIEW executable allows precise movement of the stage or actuator, either by a set distance or by jogging for coarse positioning. Interface commands are given in microns or degrees, with a resolution of 0.1 µm or 0.1° when used with Siskiyou motorized stages. Users can create location presets for each axis, enabling easy recall of saved stage positions. The software also supports recording moves to a script file, which can be played back to repeat saved sub-routines. The software is provided on a CD.
