The MC500 is a 4-axis open-loop DC servo controller specifically designed to drive series 500 and 500MM actuators. It allows users to operate up to four series 500 actuators of any travel length and is equipped with two preset speed settings: rapid (300µm/second) and medium (100µm/second). The third speed selector (slow) features a variable 330° potentiometer, enabling speed adjustments from high (30µm/second) to low (10µm/second). At the slowest setting, consistent 1.0 µm moves can be achieved with a simple bump of an axis button. The MC500 uses a wall-mounted DC power supply and is designed to be noise-free, making it suitable for use near sensitive electrophysiology experiments.
