Product overview

ESD ball joint vice SPANNFIX for screwing to a workbench. Dissipative design (10^7–10^8 Ω) with earth-bonding point and grounding cable (1 MΩ, 1800 mm). Continuously adjustable ball head, 360° rotatable and ±45° tiltable for ergonomic positioning and secure clamping in precision tasks.

Key features

  • Precision ball joint, 360° rotatable, stepless lockable quick release; quality product Made in Germany
  • For screwing onto workbench (screw-on base plate: 150 x 106 mm)
  • 50 mm ESD plastic jaws with grip (interchangeable)
  • Clamping width 70 mm; clamping depth 38 mm; clamping pressure 1470 N
  • Tilt angle ±45°
  • Replaceable jaws: spare jaws article 9-900-E50-ESD (pair)
  • Cast aluminium with black ESD powder coating; dissipative 10^7–10^8 Ω
  • Dimensions approx. 220 x 180 x 115 mm; weight approx. 1400 g

Area of application

A slight lever pressure is sufficient to align the clamped workpiece steplessly into any practical working position. Adjustable working height supports ergonomic posture for standing operations (drilling, sawing, grinding, milling, cutting, etc.). Interchangeable jaws available: 50 mm plastic jaws for the small vice, 100 mm steel jaws for the large vice. Protective jaws to avoid scratches: felt, leather, cork and rubber coatings. Prismatic jaws for pipe clamping and jaw widths from 50–150 mm are offered. Screw-on vice fastening suits workbenches up to 80 mm table thickness and is attached via four Ø9 mm through holes. High-performance magnets enable quick-change fastening options.

Technical description

Maximum torque: ball Ø 40 mm ≈ 24 Nm; ball Ø 60 mm ≈ 100 Nm. Screw-on base plate: 150 x 106 mm with 4 x Ø9 mm through holes. ESD versions are dissipative (10^7–10^8 Ω) and suitable for EPA (electrostatic protected areas). Foot sections can be connected to the grounding point via a 10 mm push button. Cast aluminium parts are powder coated; steel parts are chrome-plated and rust-free. An adjusting screw on the lower seat of the ball allows setting ball movement from loose to very firm. Holding forces may vary depending on application and conditions.
