Description

The SPANNFIX VARIO (ESD) is an electrostatically dissipative PCB holder with an infinitely adjustable ball joint and quick-clamping mechanism designed to hold and position printed circuit boards securely during soldering and assembly.

Area of application
The SPANNFIX VARIO is used to clamp PCBs/circuit boards up to 270 mm in length. The infinitely adjustable ball allows the PCB to be positioned and held securely in all directions, enabling quick turning and acting as a third hand for soldering, assembly and inspection in ESD-protected areas.

  • Connection thread: M12 × 1.5 mm (special thread); adapters available
  • Maximum torque: ball Ø 40 mm ≈ 24 Nm; ball Ø 60 mm ≈ 100 Nm
  • Holding force of the ball at the height of the threaded pin: ball Ø 40 mm ≈ 45 kg (441 N); ball Ø 60 mm ≈ 140 kg (1,372 N). Clamping force can increase after degreasing the ball.
  • Clamping base: max. table thickness 80 mm
  • Screw-base: 4 × 9 mm through holes
  • Magnetic base (optional): holding force approx. 32 kg horizontally, 15 kg vertically (magnet without cap)
  • ESD versions: dissipative 10^7 to 10^8 Ω — EPA suitable for electrostatically protected areas
  • Cast aluminium parts powder coated; steel parts chrome-plated, rust-free
