Description

A dissipative ESD ball-joint vice set designed for precise, flexible clamping in electrostatically protected areas. The vice features a continuously adjustable joint head for 360° rotation and stepless locking, with an earth bonding point and ESD grounding accessories included.

Key features
  • Precision ball joint, rotatable 360° with stepless quick-release locking
  • Made in Germany
  • ESD design with dissipative powder coating
  • Interchangeable jaws: plastic and steel options; protective jaws available (felt, leather, cork, rubber)
  • Suitable for clamping to a workbench (screw-on fastening with four 9 mm through-holes)

Area of application
A slight lever pressure is sufficient to align the clamped workpiece steplessly into any suitable working position. Individual adjustment of the working height provides an ergonomic posture for standing tasks (drilling, sawing, grinding, milling, cutting, etc.). Interchangeable jaws include 50 mm plastic ESD jaws for the small vice and 100 mm steel jaws for the large vice. Aluminum prism jaws are available for clamping pipes. The clamp fastening is suitable for workbenches with a maximum tabletop thickness of up to 80 mm and can be fixed by screwing through four 9 mm holes.

Technical description
Maximum torque (examples): ball Ø 40 mm approx. 24 Nm; ball Ø 60 mm approx. 100 Nm. Clamp base suitable for table top thickness up to 80 mm. ESD versions are dissipative (10^7 to 10^8 ohm) and EPA-suitable for electrostatically protected areas. Foot sections can be connected to a grounding point via a 10 mm push button. Cast aluminum parts are powder coated; steel parts are chrome-plated and rust-free. Ball movement can be adjusted with an adjusting screw on the lower seat of the ball from loose to very firm. Actual holding forces depend on application and conditions and may differ from laboratory values.
