Description

R-GWR is a system for interfacing and measuring industrial, civil, or environmental parameters. The device creates a network of remote sensors connected via LoRa radio technology (863-865 MHz) and accessible through ModBUS RTU/TCP-IP protocol. R-GWR acts as a ModBUS TCP-IP server and ModBUS RTU slave. It operates as a radio hub capable of managing up to 32 sensors, each able to acquire: an integrated temperature/humidity signal, a generic digital/analog input (0-30 Vdc) from a terminal, a counter @16bit with max frequency 1Hz. The sensors are powered by lithium batteries with a lifespan of up to 36 months depending on configuration. Data transmission from the sensor to the device occurs: at the programmed time, on an event, via an integrated pairing button. R-GWR supports Ethernet and the ModBUS TCP-IP protocol for connection with remote management systems and up to 8 TCP-IP client nodes. LoRa technology ensures low power consumption, longer battery life, lower power involved, and reduced installation costs for sensors. The communication range depends on usage conditions; LoRa ensures deep penetration in urban, rural, or indoor areas, reaching up to 500 meters. The minimum update interval of measured values is 30 seconds. The device is easily programmable via DIP switch and web server. Main applications include remote transmission of industrial and civil measurements and monitoring of production sites, environments, and industrial/residential buildings.
