Product descriptionGleitef SF is a double-acting sealing element composed of a PTFE seal combined with an O-ring serving as a preload element. It is an active sealing element: as system pressure increases, the sealing edge loading also increases. Gleitef SF requires significantly less installation space than Gleitef SG and is intended for applications with limited space and lower pressures.
Features- Double-acting rod seal design (PTFE seal + O-ring preload)
- Active sealing behaviour: sealing load increases with system pressure
- Compact design requiring smaller installation space than Gleitef SG
- PTFE compound variants: PTFE filled with a special filler or with carbon graphite to improve compressive strength
- O-rings available in a variety of elastomer materials
- Suitable for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, fittings, presses and machine tools
Fields of application- Static
- Dynamic
- Single acting
- Double acting
- Linear motion
- Rotating (inactive)
- Oscillating
Main useDouble acting rod seal for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
MaterialsElastomers, PTFE, PTFE with filling material. PTFE compounds can be produced with special fillers or carbon graphite to increase compressive strength. O-ring materials available in various elastomers.
Technical values- Variant (NBR): Pressure up to 25 MPa; Temperature range -30°C / +80°C (material dependent); Speed up to 10 m/s
- Variant (FKM): Pressure up to 25 MPa; Temperature range -20°C / +200°C (material dependent); Speed up to 10 m/s
NotesMaximum values for temperature, speed and pressure are not simultaneously applicable; values vary depending on material and operating media.
