Product description
The U-cup N8 is a two-piece, single-acting sealing element made of polyurethane (TPU) with an integrated POM back-up ring. U-cup seals are active sealing elements: as system pressure increases, the force on the sealing lips increases. The U-cup N8 is designed for hydraulic applications and features a robust profile and a second sealing lip that reduces stick-slip tendency. The integrated back-up ring prevents gap extrusion at high pressures. The TPU compound provides excellent abrasion resistance, allowing use as primary and secondary seals. The standard TPU compound hardness is 93 Shore A; compounds in other hardnesses and colors are available on request.
