OverviewStuftef KS is a single-acting rod sealing element composed of a PTFE lip seal and an O-ring as preload. It is an active seal: increasing system pressure raises the sealing force on the lip. The special geometry conveys an adherent lubricating film from the rod back into the pressure chamber during the return stroke. Suitable for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, fittings, presses and machine tools; compatible with tandem arrangements. PTFE compounds are available filled with bronze or carbon graphite to improve compressive strength. Other materials on request. O-rings are available in various elastomer materials (e.g. NBR, FKM).
