Product overview
The U-cup N4 is a one-piece, single-acting sealing element available in NBR and polyurethane (TPU). U-cup seals are active sealing elements: as system pressure increases, the force on the sealing lips also increases. The U-cup N4 has an unsymmetrical profile and is particularly suitable for hydraulic and pneumatic applications with high shear forces. NBR U-cup seals are used as primary seals for system pressures up to 15 MPa. U-cup seals made of TPU are suitable for working pressures up to 40 MPa. TPU offers excellent abrasion resistance, making these seals suitable as primary and secondary seals. The standard TPU compound has a hardness of 93 Shore A. NBR U-cups have a hardness of 90 Shore A. Compounds in different hardnesses and/or colors are available upon request.
