OverviewGleitef KX is a double-acting piston sealing element consisting of a PTFE dynamic seal with an X-ring on the dynamic sealing side and two O-rings as preload elements. It is an active sealing design: as system pressure increases, the load on the sealing edges increases. The product is designed for hydraulic cylinders, piston accumulators, presses, stabilizers and machine tools and is suitable for media separation and for positioning/holding cylinders where larger diameters are required compared to Gleitef KQ.
Fields of application- Static
- Dynamic
- Single acting
- Double acting
- Linear motion
- Rotating (inactive)
- Oscillating
Main usePiston sealing for media separation or for positioning and holding cylinders
MaterialsPTFE for the sealing element (plain or filled with bronze or carbon graphite to improve compressive strength); O-rings and X-rings available in various elastomer materials
Technical valuesMaterials (selection)Variant NBR- Pressure: up to 40 MPa
- Temperature: -30°C to +80°C (depending on elastomer and media)
- Speed: up to 3 m/s
Variant FKM- Pressure: up to 40 MPa
