Description

Description
The Scraper A3 is a rod scraper designed for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. It comprises a PTFE element with two wiping edges and an O-ring serving as a preload element. The PTFE compound is available with bronze or carbon graphite fillers to increase compressive strength.

Fields of application
  • static
  • dynamic
  • single acting
  • double acting
  • linear
  • rotating (inactive)
  • oscillating

Main use
Designed for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders where heavy dirt contamination and large installation spaces occur.

Materials
Elastomers and PTFE. PTFE variants filled with bronze or carbon graphite. Common elastomer options: NBR, FKM.

Technical values
Variant NBR: Pressure: -; Temperature: -30°C / +80°C (material dependent); Speed: up to 10 m/s.
Variant FKM: Pressure: -; Temperature: -20°C / +200°C (material dependent); Speed: up to 10 m/s.
Maximum values for temperature, speed and pressure are not simultaneously applicable. Values depend on material and media.

Technical specifications
  • Design: PTFE element with two wiper edges and an O-ring preload element
  • Second sealing lip to remove residual oil film from the rod
  • Excellent sliding properties; stick-slip free; good media resistance
  • Intended for heavy dirt contamination and heavy-duty use
  • Suitable for large installation spaces compared to A2 design
  • PTFE compound options filled with bronze or carbon graphite to improve compressive strength
  • O-ring materials available in various elastomers (examples: NBR, FKM)
  • Main application: hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
  • Temperature ranges (material dependent): NBR: -30°C to +80°C; FKM: -20°C to +200°C
  • Speed: up to 10 m/s
