OverviewThe BBDM series comprises 25 ultrasonic transducer models for industrial automation, robotics, vehicle detection, level monitoring and underwater measurement. The portfolio covers air distance, proximity and obstacle detection, external liquid‑level sensing through vessel walls, and underwater depth and target detection.
Intended useBBDM transducers are sensing elements intended for integration with appropriate drive, receive and signal‑processing electronics. Detection range and measurement accuracy depend on medium, target size/reflectivity, mounting, electronics, temperature and nearby reflectors. Sample evaluation under actual operating conditions is recommended before finalizing a design.
Application examples- Industrial automation: position sensing, distance measurement, proximity switching, object detection, part counting and double‑sheet detection.
- Robotics and mobile equipment: obstacle avoidance, proximity sensing and short‑range ranging in confined spaces.
