OverviewThe BBDM-35KR12M is a 35 kHz air ultrasonic transducer specified for distance measurement from 0.45 to 12 m. Using the 10.4-degree beam in the installationThe -3 dB half-power angle is 10.4° ±10%. When planning installations, consider nearby vessel walls, fittings or machine structures that may intersect the acoustic field. Target size, surface condition and angular alignment directly affect returned signal amplitude and detection reliability. For collision-avoidance or moving targets, ensure the intended detection zone remains within the beam across the expected motion path.
Electrical and environmental matchingDesign drive and receive circuitry for the minimum impedance of 180 Ω and capacitance of 4,500 pF ±20% at 1 kHz. Do not exceed the 1,500 Vpp excitation limit. Operate within the specified environmental limits: IP68 protection, pressure up to 1 MPa and temperature range −40 to +80 °C.
