Thirteen-metre reference range with an 8.9° half-power beam
The BBDM-35KR13M is an air-coupled ultrasonic distance transducer with a 35 kHz center frequency. Its reference operating range is 0.45–13 m and the specified -3 dB half-power angle is 8.9° ±10%. These ratings are intended for initial selection for level measurement, industrial ranging, collision avoidance and area monitoring; they do not replace in-situ verification with the planned target and electronics.

Check the complete echo path
For level measurement keep the sound path clear from the 0.45 m near end through the maximum intended distance. Consider tank necks, internals and nearby fittings relative to the 8.9° half-power angle. The reflecting surface must be sufficiently large and appropriately oriented for the selected geometry.
For ranging or collision-avoidance on moving equipment, evaluate the target across its expected travel. Security or area-monitoring setups also require practical checks of target surfaces and surrounding structures.

Coordinate electrical and mechanical integration
The front-end circuit must accommodate a minimum impedance of 400 ohm and a capacitance of 6,500 pF at 1 kHz. Applied peak voltage must remain below 1,000 Vpp. The specified weight of 835 g ±5% includes a 2 m cable; include transducer support and cable routing in the mounting plan.
Confirm the operating medium, temperature and pressure fall within -40 to +80 °C and up to 10 kgf or 1 MPa. The product is specified with IP68 protection.
