Overview
The BBDM-18KR50M is an air-coupled ultrasonic distance transducer with an 18 kHz center frequency and a recommended operating range of 1.8–50 m. It is designed for large-tank level monitoring, industrial distance measurement, collision avoidance, area monitoring and long-range target detection.

Evaluating the acoustic field

At long distances, internal tank structures, walls or machinery may produce earlier echoes than the target surface. Air temperature gradients and suspended particulates can alter propagation and signal amplitude, requiring calibration or compensation.
