Long-range sensing and electrical load matching
The BBDM-22KR25M is an air-coupled ultrasonic distance transducer with a 22 kHz center frequency and a recommended operating range of 1.0 to 25 m. Typical applications include large-tank level monitoring, industrial distance measurement, collision avoidance, area monitoring and long-range target detection. The 13° half-power beam must be considered when orienting the sensor.

Electrical load
A minimum impedance of 350 ohm and capacitance of 11,000 pF define the electrical load that must be considered in transmitter and receiver design. Models with a similar acoustic range but different impedance require different drive stages; do not assume interchangeability. Ensure peak voltage remains below 1,500 Vpp when driving the transducer.

Signal path and cable considerations
The 13-degree half-power angle must be aligned with an unobstructed path to the target. The supplied 10 m cable is part of the listed assembly and should be included when evaluating signal integrity, electromagnetic interference, connector placement and mechanical routing. The 1 m lower range limit must be reflected in mounting height and installation clearance.
