OverviewAn established oil-free rotary vane vacuum pump for high, sonic-flow-rate aerosol testing of dry powder inhalers (DPIs) and other inhalation devices. The HCP7 is also suitable for metered-dose inhalers (MDIs), nebulisers, atomiser devices (ADIs), nasal sprays, nasal aerosols and nasal powders. A single HCP7 delivers up to 416 L/min unrestricted flow and units can be paired for higher combined flow.
Key Features- Low maintenance
- Compact footprint for laboratory integration
- Oil-free operation suitable for pharmaceutical aerosol testing
- Left and right vacuum inlets to simplify system placement
- Self-sealing compound carbon vanes maintain effective performance over service life
Performance & OperationThe HCP7 provides a maximum unrestricted flow of 416 L/min for a single unit. For higher flow requirements — for example DPI testing under sonic flow conditions with the Next Generation Impactor (NGI) — a second HCP7 can be coupled to the primary pump to provide a combined unregulated flow up to 833 L/min. Appropriate hose fittings are supplied with HCP7 units to permit paired operation.
Applications- Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs)
- Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs)
- Nebulisers
- Atomiser Devices (ADIs)
- Nasal Sprays
- Nasal Aerosols
- Nasal Powders
