Description

Description
The Premium Heavy Duty Dry Vac System from EXAIR converts a standard 30, 55 or 110 gallon open-top drum into a high-capacity pneumatic vacuum for dry-material handling. The unit features hardened-alloy construction to resist wear, operates without electricity or moving parts, and is engineered to move greater volumes of dry solids with low maintenance.

Warning
Do not use with materials that have a low flash point or with flammable liquids (fuel oil, alcohol, mineral spirits, gasoline, kerosene). Do not use with combustible dust.

Applications
  • Work surfaces and bench cleanup
  • Abrasive tumbling media recovery
  • Industrial machinery cleanup
  • Shop floors and production areas
  • Sand blasting equipment maintenance
  • Grinders and machining debris
  • Punch presses and stamping operations
  • Absorbent material pick-up
  • Building maintenance and remodeling
  • Sawdust and wood chips
  • Gravel and bulk dry material handling

Advantages
  • Higher throughput — moves more material in less time
  • Hardened alloy construction resists premature wear
  • No moving parts — minimal maintenance
  • No motors to clog or wear out
  • No electricity required — pneumatic operation
  • Continuous-duty capability with high drum capacity
  • Static-resistant polyethylene vacuum hose
  • Relatively quiet operation (approx. 82 dBA)
  • Powerful direct-flow vacuum action
  • Heavy-duty aluminum accessories included

Styles
Three configurations are available:
  • Heavy Duty Dry Vac: Standard unit for heavy dry cleanup and transfer. Includes the Heavy Duty Dry Vac vacuum, lever-lock drum lid, automatic safety shutoff valve, filter bag, 10' (3 m) static-resistant polyethylene vacuum hose (1-1/2" / 38 mm I.D.), hose hanger, 1/2 NPT quick-connect couplings, 20' (6.1 m) compressed air hose with swivel fitting, pressure gauge and aluminum chip wand.
  • Deluxe Heavy Duty Dry Vac System: Adds features for everyday use: drum dolly, heavy-duty aluminum tools (2-piece double-bend wand, 12" / 305 mm floor tool, 11" / 279 mm crevice tool, 24" / 610 mm crevice tool, skimmer tool with detachable brush), tool holder, and a 3-1/2" / 89 mm dust brush with conductive bristles.

Performance
Drum sizes: 30, 55, 110 gal

Air consumption: 68 SCFM (1,924 SLPM)
Inlet: 3/8 NPT
Sound level: ~82 dBA

How EXAIR's Heavy Duty Dry Vac Works
Compressed air (typically 80–100 PSIG / 5.5–6.9 BAR) enters an annular plenum and is injected through directed nozzles. These air jets create a vacuum at the intake, drawing material into and through the unit into the drum. Exhaust air exits through the drum lid port and airborne particles are captured by the filter bag. The design provides rugged, maintenance-free operation for dry material removal.
