Overview
AISI Stainless Steel 304 DIN 5685A short anchor link chain is an electric-resistance welded short-link chain manufactured to DIN 5685A dimensions. Made from AISI 304 stainless steel, it offers corrosion resistance suitable for freshwater and general marine environments and consistent geometry for smooth operation with deck fittings and windlasses.

Introduction
The chain is fabricated from AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel with electric resistance welded short-link construction in compliance with DIN 5685A (link pitch, inside width, manufacturing tolerances). The short-link form factor increases flexibility and enables reliable passage through rollers, pulleys and chain lockers. For continuous seawater immersion or high chloride exposure, AISI 316 grades are recommended.

Applications
Small boat anchor systems, anchor rode, mooring lines, dock fittings, yacht hardware, decorative maritime fixtures and general marine or utility uses. Not intended for overhead lifting, crane lifting or suspension of loads.

Maintenance
Inspect regularly for wear, elongation, cracked welds, deformation, pitting or crevice corrosion and surface contamination. Rinse with fresh water after seawater exposure to remove salt deposits. Replace any section with excessive wear, weld defects or permanent deformation.
