Product Overview
JIS stock anchor is a traditional fixed-stock anchor designed to JIS requirements for anchoring fishing vessels, workboats, barges and permanent mooring systems. Constructed from marine-grade cast steel with a forged or cast shank, fixed transverse stock, crown and two flukes, the design ensures one fluke penetrates the seabed rapidly to develop holding power. Standard nominal weights range from 500 to 20,000 kg; larger sizes available on request. Certification from major classification societies can be provided.

Introduction
The JIS stock anchor features a fixed transverse stock placed perpendicular to the shank. On deployment the stock forces one fluke into the bottom while the other remains exposed, delivering stable seating and reliable holding on soft to medium seabeds (mud, sand, clay and mixed bottoms). The fixed stock prevents rolling after landing, improving holding performance for long-term moorings and work platforms.

Testing and Maintenance
Testing standards: Each anchor undergoes chemical composition verification, casting inspection, dimensional inspection, heat treatment verification, mechanical property tests, proof load testing, visual inspection and non-destructive examination (MPI/UT where applicable). Suspension testing and permanent identification marking are performed prior to shipment. Material certificates and inspection reports can be supplied.

Application Standards
Suitable for fishing vessels, tugboats, barges, dredgers, inland cargo vessels, pontoons, floating docks, workboats and permanent mooring systems operating on sand, mud, clay and mixed seabeds. The fixed transverse stock makes the anchor suitable where long-term holding is required and compact recessed anchor pockets are not necessary.
