Product Description
Stud link anchor chain is manufactured from flash butt welded steel links with an internal stud that improves rigidity, reduces link deformation under tensile loading and helps prevent kinking during handling. It is specified for ship anchoring and offshore mooring systems where consistent dimensional stability, high tensile capacity and traceability are required. Standard nominal diameters range from 12.5 mm to 90 mm; standard delivery is in 25 m or 27.5 m shots. Material grades: CM490 and CM690. Strength levels: U1, U2 and U3.

Introduction
The stud link design increases resistance to twisting and limits deformation when passing through windlasses and chain lockers. Chains are produced by flash butt welding, followed by calibration, heat treatment, dimensional inspection, proof load testing and breaking load testing. Individual shots are joined with Kenter or joining shackles to form the complete anchor cable. Typical applications include commercial vessels, container ships, bulk carriers, tankers, LNG carriers, offshore platforms, FPSOs, port facilities and naval vessels. Matching accessories (shackles, swivels, enlarged end links and anchors) are available to complete anchoring systems.

Manufactured in accordance with ISO 1704, IACS UR W18 and A1, applicable EN and GB and shipbuilding specifications. Products can be certified by ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, LR, NK, KR, RINA, RS, RMRS on request. Testing includes chemical composition verification, mechanical property testing, flash weld inspection, dimensional inspection, proof load and breaking load tests. Heat treatment, hardness checks and permanent identification marking are completed prior to shipment. Material certificates and full traceability documentation are supplied with orders.
