Overview
Grade 43 High Test anchor and windlass chain is a calibrated, welded high-tensile carbon steel chain manufactured to NACM Grade 43 requirements. Short link geometry increases flexibility and reduces tendency to jam in the chain locker, making it suitable for windlass gypsies calibrated for HT chain. The chain is marked with an embossed G4 identifier and is proof tested at the factory to twice the Working Load Limit. Available finishes include hot-dip galvanized, zinc plated, or self-color for selection based on vessel operating conditions.

Introduction
Grade 43 (High Test) chain offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than Proof Coil (Grade 30) chain and is commonly used for anchor rodes and windlass systems on recreational and commercial vessels. It is not rated for overhead lifting or suspended loads. Binder chain variants are often supplied with clevis grab hooks for towing or securing but the anchor windlass version is specified for marine anchoring applications and compatibility with windlass gypsies.
