Product Overview
Baldt Anchor is a conventional stockless marine anchor engineered for commercial ships, naval vessels and offshore units. It features a balanced shank and two large pivoting flukes that penetrate sand and mud efficiently while enabling compact stowage in modern bow pockets or hawse pipes. Standard nominal weights range from 90 kg to 18,140 kg; larger sizes are available on request. The anchor is produced from marine-grade cast steel and can be certified by major classification societies (ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, LR, NK, KR, RINA, IRS, RS).

Introduction
The Baldt Anchor is a stockless bow anchor originally developed in the United States and widely adopted for merchant and naval service. Two pivoting flukes are mounted on a cast-steel crown and shank with a balanced geometry that ensures rapid setting into the seabed and reliable stowage. Manufacturing steps include casting, heat treatment, machining, dimensional inspection and proof load testing. Surface protection options include black tarred painting or hot-dip galvanizing for enhanced corrosion resistance in marine environments.

Performance and Compatibility
The Baldt Anchor performs reliably on sand, mud, clay and mixed seabeds. Its stockless design simplifies handling and storage compared with stocked anchors, making it especially suitable for modern vessels with anchor pockets. The anchor is compatible with stud link anchor chains, end shackles, Kenter shackles and swivel groups to form a complete anchoring system. Compatible stud link chain sizes: 12.5–162 mm.
