Overview
DIN 766 anchor chain is a calibrated short-link chain manufactured to DIN 766 dimensional requirements for anchor windlass gypsies. Available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, the chain ensures precise engagement with DIN 766 windlass gypsies and strong corrosion resistance in freshwater and seawater environments. Standard nominal sizes cover 6 mm to 16 mm; larger or custom sizes can be produced on request. The chain is proof tested and inspected prior to shipment. Not suitable for overhead lifting or suspended loads.

Introduction
Manufactured by electric resistance welding and subsequently calibrated, DIN 766 short-link anchor chain offers consistent pitch and inside width to reduce slip and ensure reliable anchor deployment and retrieval. AISI 304 is recommended for freshwater and general marine use; AISI 316 (with molybdenum) is recommended for long-term seawater exposure. Typical uses include yachts, sailing boats, fishing vessels, motorboats and marina equipment.
