Product OverviewSTEVSHARK Anchor is a High Holding Power (HHP) drag-embedment offshore anchor designed for permanent and temporary mooring systems. Optimised for hard clay, dense sand, limestone, calcarenite, coral and over-consolidated soils, the anchor features reinforced shanks, sharp fluke edges, shark-tooth cutters and optional internal ballast to enhance initial penetration in challenging seabed conditions.
IntroductionDerived from the STEVPRIS platform, the STEVSHARK incorporates strengthened structural members, hardened cutter teeth, reinforced leading edges and adjustable fluke geometry. Manufactured from high-strength offshore structural steel using welded fabrication, precision machining and dimensional inspection, each anchor can be configured with internal ballast (up to 60% of anchor weight) to improve penetration where conventional drag anchors are ineffective. Standard weights range from 1.5 t to 65 t; bespoke weights and ballast arrangements are available to meet project requirements.
ApplicationsEngineered for FPSOs, MODUs, semi-submersibles, jack-up rigs, offshore construction vessels, dredgers and floating offshore wind installations. Suitable for offshore oil & gas, floating wind, dredging and other marine renewable energy mooring applications where hard or cemented seabeds are encountered.

Standards and Quality AssuranceManufactured from high-strength offshore steel in accordance with API RP 2SK, ISO 19901-7, DNV-ST-N001, DNV-RP-E301 and recognised offshore mooring practices. Fabrication uses certified welding procedures, dimensional inspection, material verification and structural quality control. Testing includes proof load testing, ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and mechanical property verification. Prototype anchors can undergo full-scale seabed testing and penetration/holding capacity trials as required by the project.
Maintenance GuidanceInspect anchors before deployment for fluke wear, cutter tooth condition, shank deformation, padeye integrity, weld condition, corrosion and coating status. After recovery, remove marine growth and perform visual and non-destructive examinations where required. Follow the operator's integrity management program and relevant classification society intervals for inspection and testing.
