Stainless steel air sampler PAS Sense 1403

Overview
The ENVEA PAS Sense 1403 multipoint air sampler and tracer-gas doser connects via USB to the PAS Sense 1512 photoacoustic gas monitor to enable flexible, remote air monitoring and ventilation studies. It collects air samples from up to six locations within 50 m and delivers tracer gas to up to three locations for ventilation and air-exchange analysis. Automatic calibration and self-check routines simplify verification and ensure reliable operation.

Values below assume tubing length 50 m and internal diameter 3 mm. Pump performance (sampling): working pump suction 20 kPa; volume flow rate 15 ml/s; sample transport speed ≈ 2 m/s. Three-way valve routes samples to waste air outlet or to the connected 1512. Minimum pressure, blocked airways: 40 kPa.

Dosing system
Data assume use of SF6 or R134a as tracer gas and nylon tubing 50 m × 3 mm ID. Pump performance (dosing): minimum working pump pressure 10 kPa; supplementary air flow per dosing channel 4 ml/s. Tracer gas supply: pressurised cylinder; supply pressure 300 kPa ±10% (absolute).

Mass flow controller
Tracer-gas delivery is controlled by a mass flow controller. At 300 kPa abs: SF6 ≈ 1.4–17.5 ml/s; R134a ≈ 1.5–18.5 ml/s. Maximum delivery time for a dose over 50 m through standard tubing: ~1 minute. Dosage calculation accuracy: ±2%.
