OverviewThe ENVEA 700 LX HFID Analyzer continuously measures total hydrocarbon concentrations in gaseous samples using heated flame ionization detection (FID) with a 191°C oven designed for continuous process and emissions monitoring.
Operating principleThe analyzer contains a heated oven (191°C) housing a burner and an optional heated sample pump. A stable flame is sustained by regulated flows of air and hydrogen or H2/He or N2 mixtures. Sample gas ionizes in the flame; a split-ring FID with two electrodes and a high-impedance, low-noise electrometer amplifier measures the ion current proportional to hydrocarbon concentration.
