OverviewFAMA hydraulic systems are engineered to collect and transport swarf and coolant directly from machine tools in a continuous and automatic way, without the constant presence of an operator. The system is versatile, non-invasive and easily extensible or modifiable over time. Hydraulic transport eliminates many issues related to handling oil and chips. The hydraulic transport system must be completed with a lubricant filtration and replenishment system. Civil works at site may be required.
Main features- Evacuation of chips to treatment or storage areas without operator intervention
- Suitable for both dry and oil-wet swarf
- Capable of transporting chips immersed in large quantities of coolant
- Improves plant safety
- Enables unattended operation
HOURLY PRODUCTIONQ = 0,8 mc/h | Brass | Steel | Aluminium | Stainless steel | Copper | Cast Iron
density [kg/dmc] | 1,5 | 1,3 | 0,8 | 1,1 | 1,00 | 1,4
Kg/h | 1200 | 1050 | 640 | 900 | 800 | 1150
THE DATA IN kg/h IS APPROXIMATE AND DEPENDS ON SWARF DENSITY, SHAPE, OIL CONTENT AND COOLANT TYPE. DENSITY VALUES ARE HYPOTHETICAL BASED ON EXPERIMENTAL AVERAGES.
Available optionals- Double swarf handling line for multi-material operations
- Anti-wear kit for centrifugal pumps
- Oil filtration system
- Oil superfiltration system
- Oil refrigeration system
- Synoptic remote control
- Remote assistance
Further technical characteristics- Each machine connected to the system is equipped with an oil collection tank, with a shredder when swarf is long or skein-type
- Each tank has a dedicated pump that pushes swarf and oil into the manifold via pressure lines, each fitted with a manual emergency valve
- The manifold directs oil and swarf to the main collection tank where decantation allows swarf to settle and be removed by a dredger
- Swarf then follows treatment and storage processes
- Oil/emulsion can be filtered, superfiltered and refrigerated before being pumped back to machines at low or high pressure
