OverviewFAMA mechanical systems are centralized solutions engineered to collect and convey metal chips and cooling lubricants via belt, scraper or screw conveyors. They remove chips and coolant directly from machine tools in a continuous and automatic process, reducing the need for operator intervention.
Main features- Evacuates swarf from machine tools to treatment or storage points
- Continuous, automatic transport without constant operator presence
- Handles both dry chips and chips impregnated with coolant
- Transport channels are installed underground and covered with walkable grates or plates
- Enables unattended operation
Installation and layoutConveyors are installed inside trenches excavated in the floor; associated civil works may be required. Machines are aligned to discharge chips and coolant into channels that flow to a collection tank. FAMA mechanical systems can be configured for long runs and, in practice, cover distances up to 200 m.
HOURLY PRODUCTIONQ = 0.8 mc/h | Brass | Steel | Aluminium | Stainless steel | Copper | Cast iron
density [kg/dmc] | 1.5 | 1.3 | 0.8 | 1.1 | 1.00 | 1.4
Kg/h | To be sized according to requirements (indicative values)
THE DATA IN kg/h IS APPROXIMATE AND DEPENDS ON SWARF DENSITY, SHAPE, OIL CONTENT AND COOLANT TYPE. THE DENSITY VALUES USED ARE HYPOTHETICAL, BASED ON EXPERIMENTAL AVERAGES.
Available optionals- Walkable grates or closing plates for trenches and pit
- Civil works for trench and pit construction
- Centrifugal pumps for oil reintegration to machines (low or high pressure)
- Shredder for long or tangled metal swarf
- Synoptic remote control panel
- Remote assistance and diagnostics
Further technical characteristics- Machine evacuation is adapted to discharge chips and oil into the collection channel
- Channels are positioned inside trenches and fitted with hoppers to connect machine outlets
- All trenches are covered with walkable steel grates or plates
- The oil and swarf flow from the channel is discharged into a dredged tank sized to ensure effective settling
- Swarf settled in the tank is removed by the dredger and unloaded into a container or processed by centrifugation
Technical specifications- Power: 11 ÷ 55 kW
- Voltage: 230/400 V
- Power supply: continuous
- Total distance: up to 200 m
- Transported quantity: up to 1200 kg/h (indicative)
- Hourly production data: to be sized according to requirements and dependent on swarf density, shape, oil content and coolant type
