Product overviewAutomatic centrifuge for separating and recovering cooling lubricant from metal swarf. Suitable for large volumes of swarf, it can be integrated into a treatment line or fed from a loading hopper. The FC500 is designed for continuous feeding and for short swarf not exceeding 2 cm in length. Under optimal conditions it can produce swarf with a wet content down to 1.5%. Actual efficiency and hourly throughput depend on swarf characteristics (material, shape, bulk density, starting humidity) and should be verified by testing.
Main features- Structure in sturdy painted metalwork (RAL 7016) anchored to a thick rigid platform
- Basket machined from a block of special steel and heat treated
- Parts in contact with swarf made from special anti-wear materials
- Anti-vibration dampers to reduce vibrations
- Compact footprint
- High separation efficiency
- Easily replaceable slotted filter ring with differentiated holes
ApplicationsDesigned to centrifuge ferrous and non-ferrous metal swarf to recover cooling lubricant used by machine tools. Best suited to continuous feeding and short swarf (≤ 2 cm). If larger pieces are present, install a sieve before the centrifuge.
Hourly production (example densities) — Q = 1500 l/hdensity [kg/l] — Brass 1.30 | Steel 1.20 | Aluminium 0.40 | Stainless steel 1.00 | Copper 0.80 | Cast iron 1.30
Kg/h — Brass 2000 | Steel 1800 | Aluminium 600 | Stainless steel 1500 | Copper 1200 | Cast iron 2000
Available optional items- Customised support structure in sturdy painted metalwork to be anchored to the floor
- Discharge screw conveyor
- Slotted ring with non‑standard hole pattern
- Painting in RAL different from standard
- Coolant collection tank with level sensors and 0.3 bar transfer pump
- Electrical control panel
Further technical characteristics- To optimise de-oiling, equip the machine with an inverter
- Cycle control via LOGO or PLC is possible
- Install a washing pump on the coolant recovery tank to prevent sludge build-up and clogging of the discharge channel
- Swarf must be short (recommended size: about 2 x 1 cm or up to 2 cm)
- Swarf must not contain large pieces (bar ends, semi-finished parts); pieces on the order of centimetres are tolerated
- The centrifuge must be loaded continuously and uniformly to ensure maximum performance
