Product overviewThe FAMA pneumatic delivery system transfers short, dry metal swarf automatically from a machining area to a storage site (silo, detachable container, etc.). The system uses a volumetric/pressure pump to generate a high-speed airflow and a dosing device that regulates feed to balance hourly production while minimizing footprint.
Main features- Evacuates chips to the storage site without operator intervention
- Rapid transport of short, dry chips
- Flexible and modular layout; clean and quiet operation
- No civil works required for installation
- Improves plant safety
- Enables unattended operation
OperationThe system is driven by a displacement/pressure pump that provides the energy to move swarf along the line. A dosing device functions as a buffer to regulate the flow of chips into the pneumatic line and to stabilise hourly throughput. A dedicated unit converts pressure energy into kinetic energy so chips travel through piping to the selected storage unit.
Technical data- Power: 11 ÷ 22 kW
- Voltage: 230/400 V
- Power supply: continuous operation
- Total distance: up to 100 m
- Transported quantity: 300 - 1500 kg/h (approx.)
Hourly production and densities (indicative)Q = 0.8 m3/h | Brass | Steel | Aluminium | Stainless steel | Copper | Cast iron
density [kg/dmc] | 1.5 | 1.3 | 0.8 | 1.1 | 1.00 | 1.4
Kg/h | From 300 kg/h to 1500 kg/h depending on application conditions
The kg/h figures are indicative and depend on swarf density, shape, oil content and coolant type. Density values are hypothetical, based on experimental averages of available data.
Available optionals- Double, triple (or more) delivery lines for multi-material handling

- Curves with anti-wear extrados
- Double guillotine for 24/7 systems
- Soundproof cabin
- Inlet cyclonic separator
- Synoptic remote control
- Remote assistance
Further technical characteristics- Pump-driven system provides the energy to push swarf through the line
- Transfers chips from processing area to storage
- Dosing device acts as a lung to regulate chip flow and balance hourly production
- Special device converts pressure energy into kinetic energy
- Chips travel along the line to the storage site (silo, detachable container, box, ...)
ApplicationsContinuous transfer and loading of metal chips to silos or storage areas; suitable for short, dry chips in industrial installations requiring automated evacuation.
