Product overviewDredging conveyor with scraping vanes ideal for the transport of short chips. The dredging conveyor is suitable for multiple uses and can be supplied in different shapes and sizes, customizable to application requirements. It can be equipped with an integrated coolant collection tank when swarf is wet.
Main features- Structure in painted metalwork (30/10 sheet metal)
- Suitable for intensive and varied uses
- Customizable shape and size according to requirements
- Available with different flow rates
- Parts in contact with the swarf in wear-resistant materials (metal or Vulkollan)
Operation and constructionThe scraping vane dredging conveyors are designed to transport short swarf. They are typically used to feed wet swarf to centrifuges or to convey dry swarf to containers or storage silos. Transport is ensured by vanes that push the swarf while scraping the conveyor bottom. Vane elements (metal or Vulkollan) are mounted on a double chain and can be supplied in different models and spacings depending on the application. Material is fed near the conveyor tail and discharged through outlets located on the upper part of the machine. For wet swarf the dredging action separates and drains coolant into the integrated collection tank.

HOURLY PRODUCTION (indicative)Q = 0,8 mc/h | Brass | Steel | Aluminium | Stainless steel | Copper | Cast Iron
density [kg/dmc] | 1,5 | 1,3 | 0,8 | 1,1 | 1,00 | 1,4
Kg/h: To be sized according to requirements
THE DATA IN kg/h IS APPROXIMATE AND DEPENDS ON SWARF DENSITY, SHAPE, OIL CONTENT AND TYPE OF COOLANT. DENSITY VALUES PROVIDED ARE HYPOTHETICAL, BASED ON AN EXPERIMENTAL AVERAGE OF AVAILABLE DATA.
Available optionals- Integrated coolant collection tank, with transfer pump and level sensor
- Swarf level sensor for loading/unloading control
- Multiple discharge outlets for material distribution
- Discharge slides, manually or automatically adjustable
Further technical characteristics- Each conveyor is sized to customer requirements
- Amount transported depends on material density, shape and conveyor inclination
- Swarf can be dry or soaked with coolant; for wet swarf an oil collection tank is recommended
Applications- After shredding for centrifuge feeding
- Filling collection containers and/or storage silos
- Integration with filtration systems
