Description
Hinged metal-slat belt conveyor designed to transport long and short metal chips. Configurable in length, shape and capacity for integration into chip handling and treatment lines. When chips contain coolant, the conveyor can be supplied with an integrated collection tank.

Construction and operation
Manufactured from 30/10 sheet metal, reinforced and supported. Conveying is performed via hinged slats with a double conveyor chain, chain tensioner, overload safety device and a geared motor (standard example: 0.55 kW). Channels can be fitted with anti-wear elements where abrasive swarf contacts the structure. Optional swarf collection tank or oil collection hopper with transfer pump are available.

Indicative volumetric throughput: Q = 0.8 m3/h. Example materials and densities used for sizing: Brass 1.5 kg/dmc; Steel 1.3 kg/dmc; Aluminium 0.8 kg/dmc; Stainless steel 1.1 kg/dmc; Copper 1.0 kg/dmc; Cast iron 1.4 kg/dmc. Kg/h values must be sized case by case and depend on swarf density, shape, oil content and coolant type. The provided density figures are hypothetical and based on experimental averages.
