Product Overview
Grade 43 high test chain with hot-dip galvanized finish. Electronically welded, low-carbon steel construction for general utility applications. Meets or exceeds NACM or ASTM (ASTM 80 for short link) standards. NOT for overhead lifting. NEVER exceed published Working Load Limit (WLL).

Introduction
Grade 43 high test chain is designed for farm, logging, towing and switch chain applications. Available in both long link (NACM) and short link (ASTM 80) configurations. Long link reduces weight and cost while retaining the same strength ratings as short link; short link offers greater flexibility.

Parameter (Definitions)

• Grade of Chain: Classification by NACM and ASTM; higher grade indicates higher WLL for the same chain size.
• Working Load Limit (WLL): Maximum recommended load in direct tension for undamaged chain.
• Proof Test: Manufacturing integrity test force applied in direct tension; not a service or design criterion.
• Minimum Breaking Force: Measured minimum tensile force at break during manufacturing tests; not a guarantee for service.
• Overhead Lifting: Lifting that suspends a load where a drop could cause injury or damage; this chain is NOT rated for such use.
