SummaryElectronically welded Grade 30 proof coil chain intended for general utility applications such as farm, log and tow operations. Electro-galvanized finish; hot-dip galvanizing provides enhanced corrosion protection. Meets or exceeds NACM and ASTM classifications. Not for overhead lifting — adhere to published Working Load Limits.
IntroductionGrade 30 Proof Coil Chain is manufactured from low-carbon steel and designed for general-purpose use including agricultural, logging, tow and switch chain applications. Caution: Do not use for overhead lifting. DO NOT EXCEED THE WORKING LOAD LIMIT.
Parameter- Grade of Chain: Classified per NACM and ASTM; higher grade indicates higher Working Load Limit for the same nominal size.
- Working Load Limit (WLL): Rated maximum working load to be applied in direct tension to an undamaged, straight length of chain.
- Proof Test: Minimum manufacturing test force applied to verify integrity (for production acceptance, not as a service/design value).
- Minimum Breaking Force: Minimum force recorded during manufacturer testing; this is an acceptance test and not to be used for service/design calculations.
- Overhead Lifting: Defined as lifting a freely suspended load where dropping the load could cause injury or damage; this product is NOT certified for overhead lifting.
